I, the people, being of somewhat sound mind and body, offer
on to you a social contract
ARTICLE 1: freedom – if A. wants to do something that doesn’t hurt B or infringe
on B’s freedom; then B. will not stand in the way… Since, A. knows that B.
can dissolve the contract at any time, but before then would try Art. 2.
ARTICLE 2: Honesty – if A. doesn’t want to tell B. something; A. doesn’t have
to. But since B. won’t stand in A.’s way, and will never intentionally hurt A. (Art. 3), there
will be no reasons for lies.
ARTICLE 3: Benevolence – A. will not intentionally hurt B., because A. knows
B. will never hurt A. Faith in this is better than anything gained by malice.
Since both A. and B. know they can help themselves through the other and hurt
themselves through the other.
ARTICLE 4: Generosity – nothing can be enforced except through generosity.
In general, the concept is to want to be as generous as possible, but that generosity
is tempered by reason and practicality. Would only be tempered by a desire
for self-preservation if A. broke 1, 2, or 3. Since B can do so without himself
/ herself breaking 1, 2, or 3.
Since we are equals, the benefit from abiding by all
four articles to the best of our abilities, will be equally beneficial. If
this is not perceived as equally beneficial, this contract can be voided at
any time. Further if other social contracts, whether stated or implied, infringe
upon this one, amendments must be made expediently to any contract, to the satisfaction of both parties,
or this contract is void.
